Courtroom Technology

Welcome to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania! Our primary courthouse, the James A. Byrne United States Courthouse, is in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. In addition to this location, we serve various communities throughout the district with additional courthouses in Allentown, Reading, and Easton. With 50 courtrooms equipped with unique audiovisual systems, we recognize the challenges posed by inconsistent technology and aging equipment. To enhance our services and ensure seamless court proceedings, we launched an initiative in 2023 to standardize and modernize our AV systems across all locations.

All courtroom technology requests must be arranged and approved through the Court. For questions related to the courtroom assigned to your case please contact the chambers deputy.
