THE CLERK'S OFFICE OF THE

U.S. DISTRICT COURT FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF PENNSYLVANIA

WILL ACCEPT

DISCOVER AND AMERICAN EXPRESS,

IN ADDITION TO

VISA AND MASTERCARD,

FOR THE FOLLOWING TRANSACTIONS:


  • Filing Fees made in the Clerk's Office or by U.S. Mail (Electronic filings are excluded at this time.)
  • Copywork
  • Copies of ESR-taped proceedings
  • Attorney Admissions
  • Searches & Certifications
  • Retrieval fees
  • Arbitration fees

For those law firms which are concerned with the safekeeping of the actual credit card, the Clerk's Office will issue numbered identification cards bearing the firm's credit card number, expiration date, and the signature of one of the firm's partners. These cards will be issued after completion of an authorization application. The courier will simply show this card to the cashier and the transaction will be processed. On the bank charge slip, "Authorization on File" would appear in the signature block.
