Patent, “Little Tucker Act” and Claims Court Transfer Cases

Appeals in patent and “Little Tucker Act” cases (28 U.S.C. §§ 1295(a)(1)-(2)) from certain interlocutory orders in these cases (28 U.S.C. § 1295(c)), and from orders transferring or refusing to transfer cases to the United States Claims Court (28 U.S.C. § 1292(d)(4)(B)), go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Filing Fee

The $5 filing fee for the notice of appeal and the $600 docket fee for the Court of Appeals are tendered to the Clerk of Court at the time of filing the notice of appeal. If the fee is not paid within 14 days after the docketing, the Clerk is authorized to dismiss the appeal.
